Martin Kurzer performed a RHS hernia procedure on me under local anaesthetic last week. He is, from consultation to after-care, an exceptional practitioner who took great time and trouble to make sure that I was fully appraised of every aspect of the operation and the post-operative period. He is a wonderfully personable doctor; calming, reassuring and without doubt a superb surgeon. I had a LHS procedure some time prior and can say categorically that Dr. Kurzer provided care so very much higher than that I had received in the past. He was thorough and meticulous at every stage of this procedure and followed up with text messages to see how I was getting on after the surgery. This is unprecedented in my experience. All in all Martin Kurzer and his superb team made the experience of my hernia repair as comfortable as possible and I would recommend him (and them) 100% to anyone needing similar treatment. Hi my name is Romolo, I found Martin Kurzer to be extremely professional, before, during and after my hernia operation. I felt reassured from my first consultation I had with him that the operation would be a success and it was. I would highly recommend Martin as a surgeon as I feel he genuinely cares about the wellbeing of his patients. I feel the cost is well worth it as having peace of mind is priceless. Also I found St Johns and Elizabeth's hospital nurses to be very helpful, efficient, friendly and professional.

I has quiet a large hernia which was starting to control my life. I had it seen to by Mr Kurzer as I had not been at all happy with previous doctors that had seen it and wanted to operate using different methods. I was really petrified at the ordeal. With Mr Kurzer I was put at ease the confidence he gave me just by talking and listening to me and my experience. He operated on me, and due to the nature of the large hernia I stayed overnight, he visited me regularly during my stay and the next morning he examined me took the drainage tubes out and basically said I could go home. I really can recommend him to anyone that needs an hernia sorting out. I was really frighten to have this operation done especially of all the stories I had heard, with Mr Martin Kurzer everything was different. He made things so easy, painless. Now that I think of it, I don't know why I did not get it done sooner.

Procedure carried out February 3rd.2016 : As an active, sports loving OAP, my inguinal hernia was limiting my ability to enjoy life. But foolishly I put off having what I considered to be intrusive surgery in the belief that it was not entirely necessary. This was driven, in part by fear and anxiety, and in part by misunderstanding on my part. From our first introductory meeting, the clear explanations pre procedure, to finally leaving St John and St Elizabeth hospital post op, Mr Kurzer was the consummate professional. His calm and authoritative manner had a wonderful calming and reassuring effect on me such that I now realize that I should have had the operation years ago. I would also like to acknowledge all members of the support team at St John and St Elizabeth hospital who were outstanding in there caring, kind and helpful manner. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Kurzer as a specialist hernia surgeon.
